DUVAL COUNTY, Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland informs citizens that Today, July 28, 2014 is the last day to register to vote or change party affiliation for the Primary Election on August 26, 2014.
Florida is a closed Primary State, meaning voters may only vote for candidates of the political party in which they are registered as of Book Closing (F.S.101.021). All registered voters in Duval County are eligible to cast a ballot on nonpartisan and open primary offices.
Voters may go online to Duvalelections.com and click the Voter Status tab to learn their status. Residents may pick up a voter registration application at our downtown office, at any regional branch library, at city government offices or online. Citizens must register or make changes to their party affiliation at least 29 days before the Primary Election, July 28, 2014, to be eligible to vote in this Primary Election (F.S.97.055).
If a voter needs to update, change the address of his or her legal residence within Duval County, or submit a name change, he or she may do so up until and including Election Day, August 26, 2014.
Citizens must return a completed voter registration application to our office 105 E. Monroe Street by the close of business on Monday, July 28, 2014. Mailed applications must also be sent to our 105 East Monroe Street office and must be postmarked with today’s date.
Anyone please call the Supervisor of Elections Office at (904) 630-1414 or visit our website Duvalelections.com for more information about the August 26 Primary Election.
