Precincts Changing for 245,000 Duval County Voters

New Voter Information Cards Coming in Mail

JACKSONVILLE – All 638,098 voters in Duval County will get new voter information cards in the mail. Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland announced today that over 245,000 of the new voter information cards will reflect changes in boundary and/or precinct locations in Jacksonville.

If your precinct has changed, the new number and address will be printed clearly on the Voter Information cards. The new boundary lines were drawn and approved by the Jacksonville City Council as part of a settlement of a lawsuit filed during the prior administration.

The changes resulted in the total number of precinct locations being reduced. So, there will be 160 precincts in Duval County for the 2024 Presidential Election cycle. Holland urges all voters to read the information on their new cards carefully to ensure they know where to vote.

The next election on March 19, 2024, is a closed Presidential Preference Primary, meaning you can only vote for a candidate if you’re a member of the Republican party since there will not be a Democratic Primary.

However, Holland urges everyone to cast their ballot during Early Voting which runs from March 8-16. In fact, we have expanded the number of early voting sites to 24. That made it so most households should find an Early Voting site within five miles of where they live.

There are several benefits to voting early. It allows you extra time just in case of unexpected events, like your vehicle breaking down, bad weather or sickness. We want all registered voters to take part in our democracy. Now get ready to vote!
